BE PART OF THE PHOTO AWARD CONTEST

Both professional and amateur photographers are allowed to compete in The Photo Award. The pictures submitted must be your own copyright and can only be submitted into the specified categories. Pictures need to be submitted by 11.59:59 pm (GMT) on January 4, 2009.
The pictures can only be submitted online. Participating pictures must have been taken during the year 2008.
They do not need to have been published.

PRICES

The prize pool is US$30,000 in cash.
US$10,000 is awarded to the winner in the category Photographer of the Year and to the winner in the category Picture of the Year.
There is a cash prize of US$1,000 for each 1st prize winner. In the other categories. The Photo Award bronze statue is presented to all 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners in every category.

We are delighted to announce that the Fourth Sharow Open Photographic Competition will be held in May 2009 with total prize value increased to £1,855. Entries are invited from the United Kingdom and beyond. Why not enter now?
This is a competition for photographers of all levels of ability – excluding full-time professional photographers. We welcome entries from beginners as well as experienced photographers (from digital camera or film). Everyone has an equal opportunity to win in this competition.

Digital Photographer of the Year awards 2008 from Digital Photographer Magazine. The Awards are open to anyone over 18 years of age but a maximum of one entry per category per person is allowed. This excludes the ‘Overall’ category.
Images that have already been awarded a prize in a national or international competition or been used for commercial purposes are not eligible.

Categories: Landscape, Portrait, Travel, Wildlife, Documentary, Black and white, Macro and Wedding.

Overall Prize: FinePix S5 Pro plus prizes for category winners.
