No prized scrapbook photo or National Geographic cover shot has ever come from a camera with dead batteries. So it’s with weekend warriors like you in mind—as well as award-winning professional photographers like Jim Richardson—that Energizer invented Energizer® Ultimate Lithium batteries. Energizer® Ultimate Lithium AA and AAA batteries last up to eight times longer vs. Energizer® MAX® in digital cameras (results vary by camera). That means you can take your mind off of your batteries and focus on taking great shots.

Enter your best photos in the 2009 Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest. You could win the grand prize, a National Geographic Expeditions trip for two to the Galápagos Islands and your photo published in National Geographic magazine.

We’re looking for digital photos which capture the essence of the Lake District and the people living there: not necessarily the obvious beauty spots or tourist attractions, though these are very welcome, but images which capture the daily life of the Lakes in all its flavour and variety. Try and go beyond the obvious, and come up with images which add an unusual twist to our view of life in the Lakes. For example, shots of the farmers at work, or the routine of life beyond the tourist hotspots.

You can submit as many images as you wish, and they will all have an equal chance of winning one of the two £500 prizes.
