Panasonic Europe announced the launch of the 2011/12 LUMIX Award digital photo competition, with the theme “Life is a stage”. Amateur and semi-professional digital photographers are invited to submit digital images that best capture the world around them including the interesting people, unique places and extraordinary events that make everyday life a stage. The most exceptional and creative entries will win state-of-the-art LUMIX cameras and, in line with the theme ‘Life is a Stage’, Panasonic will display the winning photo to a pan-European audience at one of its flagship European events next year.
Between October 2011 and 31 March 2012, participants can enter one photo per month which visualises the funny, heart-warming, or colourful stage around them. Visitors to the LUMIX Award website will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite images of the month. The most popular of these will be passed to the LUMIX Award’s jury, an independent panel of a professional photographers, filmmakers and creative directors consisting of Robert Grischek, Sodja Zupanc Lotker and Enrico Martino. The jury will select the monthly winners, and overall Grand Prize winners which will be announced by the 31st March 2012.
